Mr. Floyd's Death

August 19, 1804
The Keelboat's Doctor

As soon as I awoke yesterday morning, tragedy happened. Mr. Floyd started to vomit continuously as he experienced much, much pain. Recently he was quite the sick one, but this? This was more than I have seen in decades. His life was clearly at stake, but the neither I nor the captains themselves could sooth or heal him.

  1. It is a sad thing to have a member of our party die so soon. I think your experiences this week with Seaman will drive home the emotion and loss even more. I think you will even find out about what the Captain tried to do to make Floyd better. Also, be careful what dates you are on. I didn't think we were to August 19th yet . . .
