Pay Grade

I think that I, Emily Mae George Dewey, deserve a pay grade of B. I think that I deserve it because I have done some very good blogs, but I also think I could have done them a little better.

    Dear Emily,

What an end of the journey you had? With the Corps of ReDiscovery 2009 . . . with the 6th and 7th grade . . . with the bloody loo bums . . . .

Reading your last journal entry and looking back across your journal, I see much improvement from when we first left Camp Wood, long before meeting Sacagawea and making it over the mountains. You looked at the journals of others and read your comments and improved. Good. I agree with your estimate of your final pay grade, as does the pay ledger when I plug all your pay into it. I can't tell you how much I look forward to our year together next year as we travel and meet the people of the world. I think you are so ready to take your observations and perceptions to the next level.

Thanks again for the special time we shared this year. Have a jolly good (that's British, I think) summer, and I'll see you in the fall.

    Love,
    (Captain) John

    Final Pay Grade: $B
